Discovery of the city of Palma, its historic center, its monuments, its essentials. The main attraction of the city is the Gothic La Seu Cathedral in the south of the old town and not far from the coast. In addition, in the old town can be found more than 30 other monuments, the churches are mostly Gothic such as the Basilica of Sant Francesco. Next to the cathedral is the Palace, which the King of Spain uses as a residence during his visits to the Balearic Islands. The old town of Palma is a stylistic blend of Spanish-Catalan Arab influences. It is known for its many narrow streets, some of which are connected to each other only by stairs.

Breakfast. Direction Sóller.The city has therefore enjoyed a certain notoriety for its houses built at the beginning of the 20th century by emigrants (notably to France) who returned to the country. There is also the Torre Picada (watchtower) next to the port which was built in the 16th century to defend the city against Saracen pirates. After it was reconquered by Jaime I the Conqueror, the locality is fortified with towers to cope with Berber attacks. The hamlet of this locality combines ocher and white houses and old watchtowers.

Petit-déjeuner. Rencontre avec des lycéens – échange / présentation en occitan – la culture du pays occitan. L’après-midi direction le village Algaida. Situé au centre de l’ile de Majorque, Le village d’Algaida reste un petit village agricole et pittoresque de moins de 3000 habitants. Il est incontournable pour qui veut connaitre l’essence même de l’Histoire de Majorque. Son musée et fabrique de verre soufflé (accès gratuit) font sa réputation. Ses nombreux festivals montrent sa culture et la ferveur de ses habitants. 

Petit-déjeuner. Découverte du Château de Bellver la résidence royale de Jacques II. Le château, de style gothique, se dresse au somment d'une colline. Il a multiplié les usages au cours de l'histoire. Le roi Jacques II le fit construire en tant que résidence royale. Au XIXe siècle il fut converti en fabrique de monnaie. Sa structure circulaire est caractéristique. Elle possède trois grandes tours et un donjon divisé en quatre étages. L'intérieur du château renferme une cour d'armes sur deux étages et une cour intérieure construite autour d'un puits. Le deuxième étage abrite une chapelle.
