Travel to Malta

Suggestion de programme
Long forgotten between Sicily and the Tunisian coasts, Malta called the island of honey by the Greeks, has many historical, architectural, cultural and archaeological treasures. Malta was occupied since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the Ghar Dalam cave. It was also coveted by merchants of the sea like the Phoenicians. Malta was famous for its production of honey, wine, roses and fine cloth. Dominated by a succession of peoples due to its strategic geographical location between Europe and Africa, the West and the East, it finally obtained its independence in 1964. Malta is also its "Knights", the order of the Hospitallers of Saint John who played a leading role in the defense of Christendom in the Holy Land. They will make Malta an impregnable fortress. Under the Knights of Malta, the island becomes one of the cultural centers of Europe, baroque art testifies to its influence with Mattia Preti and the Caravagge.5 days / 4 nights stay
