Day 1: Florence

Discovery of the city, the piazzale Michelangelo which offers a panoramic view of Florence. San Miniato Church, a fine example of Florentine Romanesque architecture. The Ponte Vecchio with its shops and the Vasari Corridor, the piazza della Signoria, an open-air museum with the loggia dei Lanzi, the palazzo Vecchio. You can visit the Duomo with the extraordinary Brunelleschi dome, its baptistry with its mosaic decoration. The Galileo museum, science museum which pays homage in particular to the scientist, his theories and his experiments. Day 2: Arcetri and Vinci

Breakfast. Guided tour by a professor from the University of Florence of the Arcetri astronomical observatory, one of the oldest dating from the 19th century. Possibility of making a daytime visit. Possibility to visit the villa of Galileo.Departure for the village of Vinci, its museum houses a large number of Leonardo da Vinci models. The models have been reproduced from the artist's drawings. An exceptional testimony to the character's genius, his knowledge of different fields from optics to swimming including the flying man, his art for military ingenuity (tank, grape shot, bridge ...), the weaving machine, the ancestor of the car, the bicycle….

Day 3: Cascina and Pisa

Breakfast. Visit of the VIRGO nuclear physics laboratory, one of the eight interferometers in the world that studies gravitational waves. A guided tour by laboratory researchers which present you the latest scientific data on the notion of the universe, the notion of vacuum. A visit which invites you to establish a comparison between the thought of the ancients and the scientists of today. Discovery of Pisa, Campo dei Miracoli, his Duomo, his Baptistry, its Leaning Tower and its Camposanto which reveals the sinopias of the frescoes following the bombings of the 2nd World War.

Day 4: Florence

Breakfast. Visit of the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important museums in Europe for its collections of paintings. It houses works by Cimabue, Giotto, Paolo Ucello, Piero Della Francesca, Vinci, Botticelli, Michelangelo, Caravaggio ... the composition of the works will show you the importance of mathematics, of perspective in the work of art . Discovery of the Santa Croce district with its church, the famous Pantheon of the Florentines which houses the tombs of Galileo, Michelangelo, Rossini, Machiavelli, the cenotaph of Dante ...

The course of our circuits is given as an indication.
