Grand stratège, soldat d’élite, ce séjour sur les traces d'Alexandre le Grand, vous fera découvrir des aspects clés de l’histoire de ce personnage, fils de Philippe II Roi de Macédoine, son apprentissage philosophique auprès d'Aristote, son rôle religieux et ses fameuses conquêtes. L'histoire d'un extraordinaire parcours à travers la visite des sites et musées archéologiques de la Grèce du Nord. Séjour 6 jours et 5 nuits - Tarif sur demande.

Day 1: Thessaloniki -Pella

Arrival in Thessaloniki. Leave for Pella, birthplace of Alexander the Great and visit of the archaeological site and the museum with the precious mosaics. Transfer to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Lefkadia-Vergina

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Lefkadia and visit to the Macedonian Tombs : the Tomb of Judges, the largest, the Tomb of Flowers, with well-preserved flower paintings on the roof. The Tomb of Lyson and Kallikles. We continue in Naoussa and visit of the "Nimfeo of ancient Mieza" or "Aristotle's school", the place where the famous philosopher initiated young Alexander and his companions in philosophy, poetry, mathematics and science. Leave for Vergina, the ancient capital of Macedonia. Visit of the impressive museum housing, among others, the royal tomb of Philippe II, father of Alexander, and other precious treasures of spectacular beauty. Return to the hotel.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Journée 3: Dion - Olympos

Petit déjeuner à l’hôtel. Départ pour l’Ancien Dion, le centre officiel religieux des Macédoniens, dédié au culte antique de Zeus Olympien, situé au pied du légendaire Mont Olympe. Visite du site archéologique et du musée. Visite du village et promenade à travers la vallée Enipea. Retour à Thessalonique.
Déjeuner.
Dîner et Nuit à l’hôtel.

Day 4: Thessaloniki

breakfast at the hotel. Town tour passing through the main tourist sites: the picturesque old town, the Byzantine church ofAgios Dimitrios, theArch of Galerius, the rotunda, the lively and interesting city center archaeological museum. Discovery of an authentic and lively city.
Lunch.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 5: Athos cruise - Stagira - Arnea

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the picturesque village of Ouranoupoli and cruise to Mount Athos. Possibility to see some of the famous monasteries of Agios Oros during the boat trip. Return to Ouranoupoli and trip to Stagira, birthplace of the philosopher Aristotle, master of Alexander the Great. We continue to the traditional village of Arnea. Return to Thessaloniki.
Lunch.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Journée 6 :  Filippi - Amfipoli

Petit déjeuner à l’hôtel. Départ pour Ancient Filippi, fondée par le roi Philippe II. Visite du site archéologique. Puis route vers Kavala. Tour panoramique de la ville, découverte de la ville. Sur le chemin du retour, arrêt au site archéologique d’Amfipoli avec son lion en marbre caractéristique. Les fouilles dans la région de la ville antique ont révélé une partie des murs de la fortification, divers types de tombes, des temples, des maisons privées et le Gymnasium. Retour à Thessalonique.

Le déroulement de nos circuits est donné à titre indicatif. Nos programmes sont susceptibles de modification en raison d’impératifs indépendants de notre volonté tels que rotations aériennes, jours de marchés, horaires de bateau, changement d’horaire des entrées des sites, horaires de réservation imposées etc… Cependant les prestations prévues seront respectées, sauf cas de force majeure
