Uzbekistan Collection

Day 1: Flight to Tashkent - Departure from Paris

Assistance with formalities check-in and boarding.
Take off of the flight to Tashkent.
Dinner and overnight on board.

Journée 2: Tachkent

Petit-déjeuner. Arrivée dans la matinée. Journée consacrée à la visite de la ville de Tachkent: la vieille ville et le Parc de la Victoire, la Place de l’Indépendance, la medersa Kukeldash, le pittoresque marché Tchorsu. Visite du musée des Arts Appliqués aux riches collections d’art russe, icônes, céramiques et costumes royaux. L’après-midi, poursuite des visites avec la medersa Abdul Kasim actuellement occupée par des artisans, la place d’Amir Temur (Tamerlan) où sont présentés les artistes locaux et le métro de Tachkent. 
Déjeuner. 
Dîner et logement à Tachkent.

Day 3: Tashkent - Urgench - Khiva (30 km)

Breakfast. Transfer by plane (1 hour flight), then 40 km in air-conditioned minibus. Walk: the visit to historic places performed on foot. 7:30 am transfer to the local airport to take the flight to destination Urgench. Arrival in Urgench and road to Khiva. Discovery of Itchan Kala, the inner city, entrenched behind high brick walls. Khiva is arguably the most unspoiled of the towns that dot the Silk Road in Central Asia. Any the day is devoted to visiting the city-museum. Ichan-Kala, Ota Darvosa, medersa of Mohammed-Amin Khan and its Kalta Minor minaret (19th century), etc. Evening show of traditional dances in an old madrasah.

Dinner and overnight in Khiva.

Day 4: Khiva-Bukhara (30 kms)

Breakfast. By car: 470 km (7 to 8 hours drive). Leave for Bukhara at 8:30 am. For a hundred kilometers, we pass through the villages of the Khorezm region then through the Kizil Koum desert (Red Sand). A few stops are planned for photos and for the lunch in one of the "Chaykhana" oasis cafes. The particular beauty of the Central Asian desert takes us back to the time of the caravanners who crossed this sea of sand on the back of a camel. Arrival in Bukhara towards the end of the afternoon.

Journée 5: Boukhara

Petit-déjeuner. Toute la journée est consacrée à la découverte de la partie ancienne de Boukhara. La plupart des centres d’intérêt de Boukhara sont concentrés dans la vieille ville du Chakhristan et se visitent à pied. Tout d’abord, le mausolée Ismaïl Samani (9ème-10ème siècle), l’édifice le plus ancien de la ville et l’un des plus beaux joyaux de l’Ouzbékistan, puis le mausolée Tchachma Ayoub (12ème-14 siècle), l’ensemble Bola Khaouz (18ème siècle) et la Citadelle d’Ark. Le symbole de l’émirat de Boukhara se dresse de toute sa majesté sur la place du Reghistan et rappelle la terreur de l’époque Manguit. Demeure des seigneurs de Boukhara, l’Ark est aussi ancienne que Boukhara elle-même. Soirée spectacle de danses traditionnelles dans une ancienne médersa.

Day 6: Bukhara

Breakfast. You go to the discovery of the surroundings of Bukhara. The sacred site of Bakhaoudin Nakshbandi (16th century) where one of the founders and one of the most revered saints of Sufic Islam are buried, then you visit the summer residence of the last emir "Setora-i-Mokhi Khosa" (19th century). Continuation of the visit by the Madrasah Chor Minor (early 19th century), one of the most attractive and strange buildings in Bukhara. Free time to stroll through the alleys of the old town or enjoy the magnificent Bukhara hammam (14th century).

Dinner and overnight in Bukhara.

Day 7: Bukhara - Guijduan - Samarkand (280 km)

Breakfast. We leave at 9 am to the village ofAbu-Abdulloh-Guijdovani - Guijdovan (70 km) which is made famous by its fine ceramics. Departure to the capital of the Tamerlan empire, arrival at Samarkand around noon and installation at the hotel. Afternoon discovery of the capital of the Temourid empire. Visit of Gur-Amir mausoleum and Registan Square, the most grandiose complex in Central Asia and one of the most beautiful in Islam. It was the nerve center of the capital of Tamerlane, where six arteries met under the dome of a bazaar. It is made up of three magnificent madrasahs: Oulougbeg, Cher-Dor, Tilla-Kari.

Dinner and overnight in Samarkand.

Day 8: Samarkand

Breakfast. All the day is devoted to the discovery of the capital of the empire of Timur or Tamerlan. The crossroads of the various silk routes, that of the west towards Persia, that of the east towards China, and that of the south towards India. Alexander the Great, Genghis Kan were his conquerors and Tamerlan made it his capital. Its domes and blue mosaic still captivate today's travelers. Visit of the Ulug Beg observatory, the Chakhi Zinda necropolis, a silk carpet workshop (suzani). Continuation of the visit with the Syabet market and the Bibi Khanoum mosque.

Dinner and overnight in Samarkand.

Journée 9: Samarcande et Tachkent

Petit-déjeuner. Transfert : 285 km par le train à grande vitesse (2h15 de trajet) Le matin, départ pour le village typique de Khartang et visite du somptueux mausolée d’Imam al Boukharï, un des plus importants lieux de pèlerinage d'Ouzbékistan. L’après-midi visite de la fabrique de papier et celle de tapis. Temps libre. Vers 16 heures transfert à la gare pour prendre le train à grande vitesse Tachkent – Samarcande. Arrivée à Tachkent à 19h15.
Déjeuner.
Dîner et nuit à Tachkent.

Journée 10: Tachkent - Retour

Petit-déjeuner. Temps libre selon l’heure de votre vol pour flâner dans la ville à votre rythme. Transfert à l’aéroport pour votre vol de retour.
