Porto Torres - Sassari - AlgheroItem Link List item 1
Arrivée à Porto Torres. Découverte de la ville portuaire qui prend racine en des temps bien reculés.. Des installations humaines telles que des villages préhistoriques, de nombreux nuraghi ainsi que la nécropole qui indiquent que ses environs ont été habités dès la préhistoire. Route vers Sassari, ville la plus importante du nord de la Sardaigne, aussi bien pour son histoire que pour les activités économiques et culturelles qui s’y concentrent. La vieille ville abrite de magnifiques édifices religieux, comme la cathédrale de San Nicola di Bari, l’église de Santa Maria di Betlem ou encore celle de Sant’Apollinare, qui est la plus ancienne de Sassari. Route vers Alghero. Alghero, la capitale de la « Riviera del Corallo », conserve encore les traditions et la langue de la Catalogne qui l’a dominé des siècles durant, même si son histoire est beaucoup plus ancienne, comme le prouvent les sites nuragiques de Palmavera et de Sant’Imbenia. Déjeuner. Diner et nuit à l’hotel à Alghero.

Petit-déjeuner à l’hôtel. Départ en bateau pour la visite de Grotta Nettuno retour en bateau à Alghero. Dans l’aire marine protégée de Capo Caccia, Isola Piana, la Grotta di Nettuno est une grotte marine spectaculaire grâce à ses stalactites et stalagmites magnifiques. Route vers la région d’Olbia, à travers l’intérieur de la Sardaigne. Arrêt à Codrongianos pour la visite de l’église Santa Trinità de Saccargia. Cordongianos doit sa célébrité à la splendide basilique Santissima Trinità di Saccargia. Puis arrêt à Torralba pour la visite du Nuraghe Sant Antine. Torralba est célèbre pour le Château Nuragique de Santu Antine. Le monument était un véritable château - forteresse. Arrêt à Cossoine pour la découverte des fresques murales qui décorent le village. Puis route en région d’Olbia. Déjeuner. Diner et nuit à l’hôtel à Olbia.

The village is located in the far north of Sardinia, on the edge of Gallura on the west side and at the end of the natural bay of Porto Longonsardo. The coast is cut there with outcrops of granite. The village that can be seen today, completely redeveloped at the time of the domination of the House of Savoy, has straight streets crossing at right angles with, in the center, a small square on which rises the church of San Vittorio. Cannigione is a wide beach located in the town of the same name, in the municipality of Arzachena, very close to the marina and surrounded by green vegetation. Discovery of the Smeralda coast region by boat to Olbia. Discovery of the city that the Greeks called the happy city, it overlooks the gulf containing the beautiful islands of Tavolara and Molara. The town still retains the thermal baths, the aqueduct, the only one left intact on the island, as well as the S'Imbalconadu farm dating from Roman times. Day 1: Porto Torres- Sassari- Alghero
(Possibility of modification if arriving via Olbia)
Arrival in Porto Torres.
Discovery of the port city
which takes root in ancient times. Human settlements such as prehistoric villages, numerous nuraghi as well as the necropolis which indicate that its surroundings have been inhabited since prehistoric times. Road to Sassari, the most important city in northern Sardinia, both for its history and for the economic and cultural activities that are concentrated there. The old town is home to magnificent religious buildings, such as the Cathedral of San Nicola di Bari, the Church of Santa Maria di Betlem or that of Sant'Apollinare, which is the oldest in Sassari. Road to Alghero. Alghero, the capital of the "Riviera del Corallo", still preserves the traditions and the language of Catalonia which dominated it for centuries, even if its history is much older, as the Nuragic sites of Palmavera and Sant'Imbenia prove.

Day 2: Grotta Nettuno - Torralba Cossoine - Region of Olbia
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure in boat for the visit of Grotta Nettuno
return by boat to Alghero. In the marine protected area of Capo Caccia, Isola Piana, the Grotta di Nettuno
is a spectacular sea cave thanks to its magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. Route to the region of Olbia, through the interior of Sardinia.
Stop at Codrongianos

Journée 3: Calangianus - Capo Testa
Petit-déjeuner à l’hôtel.
Départ pour Calangianus, visite d’un atelier de travail du liège et du miel amer
utilisé pour la préparation des Seadas. (Dessert sarde). Dans cette région s'étend la vallée luxuriante du Rio S.Paulu, occupée par des forêts de chênes liège, sur les pentes du Monte Limbara. Route vers Capo Testa, San Teresa Gallura. Le village est situé tout au nord de la Sardaigne, à la limite de la Gallura côté ouest et au fond de la baie naturelle du Porto Longonsardo.
La côte y est découpée avec des affleurements de granit. Le village que l’on peut observer aujourd’hui, entièrement réaménagé à l’époque de la domination de la Maison de Savoie, présente des rues droites se croisant à angle droit avec, au centre, une petite place sur laquelle s’élève l’église de San Vittorio. Retour vers Olbia pour une découverte de la ville si le temps le permet.
Déjeuner.

Day 4: The islands of Maddalena and Caprera

Journée 6: Olbia - Porto Torres
Petit-déjeuner à l’hôtel. Départ vers Porto Torres. Arrêt à Castelsardo
une jolie petite ville sur la mer, et c'est la mer qui en a marqué l'histoire. Le village a été une place-forte défensive et un lieu de contrôle stratégique. Sur le sommet du haut-plateau se dresse la forteresse du Château des Doria. Toute proche, la cathédrale Sant'Antonio Abate, du XIVe siècle, donne sur la mer, avec son clocher caractéristique, couvert de majoliques colorées. Sur les pentes du château, l'église médiévale Santa Maria delle Grazie. Au lieu dit Multeddu, la Roccia dell' Elefante, un rocher de trachyte foncée entièrement sculpté par le vent, abrite plusieurs domus de janas. Puis découverte de la côte en car jusqu’à Porto Torres.
